In 2021 I traveled to the Maldives for the first time, Located in the middle of the Indian Ocean, with clear blue water and the perfect waves all around, some people call it 'heaven on earth'. We’re going back but now further south then we’ve ever been!

On this 10-day boat trip we’ll do our best to score uncrowded and perfect waves, which is not a rare sight in the Southern Atolls.

This trip is the perfect environment for progressing your surfing. With suprisingly “easy” but very rippable waves, the Maldives lends itself perfectly for surfcoaching.

Wave type: Huge variety of reef breaks typically in the chest high to overhead range.

Surf Level: Intermediate/Advanced

Intermediate description: surfers who can surf down the line, have control over their board and start making speed (and sometimes turns).

Advanced surfer description: surfers who already have control over making speed, doing cutbacks and starting to do more vertical maneuvers.

Prices: Depending on the boat/length of trip (Estimate: €3990,- per person (private room), €3670 for a shared room (limited spots))

What boat are we sailing on?

We will be exploring the Indian ocean on a beautiful called ‘Kethi’. Equipped with everything needed to have a safe and comfortable travel throughout the Maldives. A newly refurbished surf boat operated by an award-winning company. Beautifully designed and finished with teak decking throughout, Kethi will be your home away from home for 10 days of hunting perfect waves across the Maldives.

At 23m and with 6 air-conditioned, en-suite guest cabins, Kethi is a cosy and comfortable boat for motoring between the Maldives’ hundreds of reef passes. Despite a maximum capacity of 12, we are limiting this trip to just 8 guests to ensure the highest level of coaching and comfort.

There are multiple outdoor areas, a comfortable lounge, a well-stocked bar and a beautiful sun deck. The crew are some of the best in the business and the fresh and filling cuisine the chef is capable of knocking up in a small floating kitchen is truly incredible.

“A really good alternative for people who want to surf uncrowded waves in the Maldives! Our trip started in North Maldives and we headed south were we got to surf quality waves with only the guys on the boat in the water.

I had never tried coaching like this before and didnt have any expectations. But super cool to have the sessions filmed and get quality feedback from Pepi the surf coach. Really learned a lot and made me improve my surfing. Its also really motivating to get some pointers I can work on in the future. So definitely recommend the coaching part. We also got all the video material in the end of the trip. Many good memories on film is cool to have.
